Self-care is more than just indulging in occasional bubble baths, binge-watching a show, or a mani/pedi. These activities are good; however, they are temporary. Self-care is about nurturing the whole person and ensuring long-term well-being across various aspects of life. True self-care includes your emotional, occupational, intellectual, environmental, financial, social, and spiritual dimensions:
Emotional: Activities that promote emotional balance.
Occupational: Finding satisfaction in your work.
Intellectual: Engaging in mentally stimulating activities.
Environmental: Creating a supportive living space.
Financial: Managing finances to reduce stress.
Social: Building healthy relationships.
Physical: Maintaining health through exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
Spiritual: Finding purpose and meaning in life.

Here are some tools and tips to build self-care habits:
Start Small: Begin with one or two activities that resonate with you.
Set Realistic Goals: Define clear, achievable goals for each wellness dimension.
Create a Routine: Schedule specific times for self-care activities.
Use Reminders: Set reminders to stay on track.
Track Progress: Monitor your activities and reflect on your progress.
Although it may seem overwhelming to take care of yourself in all these areas, integrating self-care into your daily routine can help. Be patient with yourself as you travel through life. I encourage you to treat yourself with kindness and understanding as you navigate the challenges, uncertainties, and changes that are inherent in our everyday living.
